VVS Laxman shares a special bong with Yuvraj Singh. The duo has always shared a great rapport between them. They played together in many ODI series in the past. They continued their bond while working for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.

Once VVS said, “One of the role models is my good friend Yuvraj Singh. His illness was a shock to all of us. Because, I still remember, we were in England. This was in 2011. We could not believe that Yuvraj Singh, he played the World Cup with all the symptoms and he was the Man of the Series.”

The way Yuvraj Singh conquered cancer and then played on the field with renewed vigor made him VVS role model. VVS Laxman said that the 35-year-old Yuvraj Singh demonstrated great mental toughness to overcome the disease.

Recently, on VVS Laxman’s 44th Birthday, Yuvi on Twitter wished him and wrote Many Happy Returns of the Day to a very very special friend and a legendary batsman. He concluded by wishing him a brilliant day.
